X-ray Inspection
EquipmentX-ray Inspection,
2D X-ray
An equipment used to examine the internals of a specimen by transmitting non-destructive x-rays through the specimen.
Introduction
X-rays are a type of electromagnetic radiation with short wavelengths and high energy that can pass through objects. The transmittance depends on the density of the object and the atomic structure, and this principle of X-rays is used as a non-destructive testing device in the general industry. Hence, the X-ray transmission inspection device is an equipment that inspects the internals of a specimen by transmitting non-destructive X-rays through it. Not only can it be used to examine the shape or defects of an electronic component, but also can find failures in the copper wires and PTH in the printed circuit board. Moreover, failure in the soldering of the void distribution levels and SMT level of a solder ball can be examined nondestructively.
Application
Non-Destructive Failure Analysis, Component and Printed Circuit Board Internal Structure Inspection, Solder Void Measurement.
